These terms are the agreement between you and Farm2Basket when you use the website and its services — as a buyer, a farm or supplier, or a trucking partner. By creating an account or placing an order you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Farm2Basket.
How we handle personal information is in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Farm2Basket is a marketplace and intermediary. Farms and suppliers list produce; buyers order it; accredited trucking partners deliver it. We take the payment, hold it in escrow, coordinate fulfilment and delivery, handle problems, and pay the farm and the carrier their shares.
Every order runs through the platform. Buyers and suppliers deal with each other only through Farm2Basket, and agree not to take an order found here off the platform to avoid it — that protects buyers' money and sellers' payouts alike.
Prices, delivery fees, and the service fee are worked out when you check out and shown before you pay. Payment is online only — GCash, Maya, cards, or online banking through PayMongo; cash on delivery isn't offered.
Placing an order reserves the stock while you pay. If the payment isn't completed within 20 minutes, the order is cancelled and the stock released. If a payment reaches us after that, we refund it in full.
So that no one can keep produce off the shelf for everyone else: you can have two unpaid orders at a time; until your first payment goes through, one order can reserve at most about half of what's left of a listing (more is available through a quote from the farm); and after three orders left unpaid in a day, new orders are paused until a day has passed since the first of them.
Farms only see an order once the payment has cleared. Quoted prices from a farm are good for one order, at the quantity and until the date quoted.
Your payment is held by Farm2Basket, not the seller. The trucking partner's share becomes payable once it records proof of delivery; each farm's share, less commission, once you confirm receipt — or automatically 24 hours after the last delivery if you neither confirm nor report a problem. While a problem report is open, nothing more is paid out on that order. The details are on How escrow works.
We may hold a listing or suspend an account that breaks these terms, puts buyers, farms, or carriers at risk, or is under investigation for fraud — and tell you why. Money already owed to you for completed, undisputed work is still paid out.
Produce is natural and varies; farms are responsible for what they list and supply, and carriers for the goods in their care. We work to keep the marketplace accurate and the service running, but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, Farm2Basket isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to what was paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under Philippine law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Tell us about any disagreement through the contact page first — most are settled quickly. If not, the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction.
We may update these terms as the service changes. We'll update this page and its date, and tell account holders in the app before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use Farm2Basket after that means you accept the new terms.
